Our School

Paddock Junior Infant and Nursery School is a co-educational community school offering primary education for children in the age range 3-11.  We have a planned admission limit for each year group of 50.  Early Years' education is offered on a part-time basis for 52 children.  Parents are asked if they would prefer a morning or an afternoon place.

We have a conservation garden as well as small garden areas in the playground.  Our playground has recently been refurbished and now provides a stimulating area for our children.

Parental involvement is welcomed and actively encouraged.

The Spirit of Paddock School

At Paddock we aim to create a happy and caring atmosphere which welcomes and supports all pupils, parents, staff and visitors.

Our school has already achieved the creative vibe, but we hope to continue and achieve more.

It is very important that all our children and staff have the opportunities to learn in a safe, calm and stimulating environment.  Therefore fun, hard work and creative teaching are placed at the heart of the curriculum.

All parts of our community are equally valued and we take time to celebrate  what we have in common and the beauty of our differences.

In order for our children to become responsible citizens we actively encourage the steady development of decision making skills and self discipline.

Staff, pupils and parents are expected to share and respect each others' views and work together to make our school community the best place it can be.

Our success depends on each child achieving their unique potential and leaving us well prepared for High School and life.

Admission Arrangements

The allocation of places at Paddock School is managed directly by the School according to our Admissions Policy.  Admission to the Early Years Unit (Nursery) is  managed by the School, according to our Nursery Admissions Policy.  Details of these policies can be found on the 'Policies' page.
